Umoney entered the global financial stage through a strategic partnership with Visa to implement VisaPay. In the same year, Unitel officially commercialized 5G services, empowering Umoney with cutting-edge speed and security for over 1.6 million users.

Marking its 2nd anniversary, Umoney rapidly scaled to 10,000 transaction points across 148 districts. The year was highlighted by international acclaim, winning the Silver Stevie® Award for Innovation and the IT World Award for Finance & Banking.
The Foundation & Pioneer License
Star Fintech Co., Ltd was officially established on June 10, 2019. In a historic move, it became the first company to receive an official license from the Bank of the Lao PDR to provide Mobile Money services, laying the groundwork for digital finance in the nation.
